About us and these terms
WorkRound is a trading name of DB Meridian Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales under number 17427999. Our registered office is 27 Old Gloucester Street, London, United Kingdom, WC1N 3AX. Contact us at [email protected].
These terms apply to the WorkRound website, mobile application and service. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them on behalf of yourself and the business you identify during setup.
Business use and accounts
WorkRound is intended for people using it mainly for their trade or business. You must be at least 18, have authority to bind the business and provide accurate account information. You are responsible for activity under the account, protecting sign-in details and promptly telling us about suspected unauthorised access.
The current product supports one owner account for one business. You must not share access with someone who is not authorised to see the business’s customer records.
The service
WorkRound helps a business record customers, services, rounds, job completion, charges and payment status. It is an organisational tool, not accounting, tax, legal or payment-processing advice. You remain responsible for the accuracy of records, the work you perform, invoices, tax, debt collection and compliance with laws applying to your business.
Some field actions work offline and synchronise later. You are responsible for protecting the device, checking that pending changes have synchronised and keeping any separate records your business is legally required to retain.
Customer data and your responsibilities
You control the personal information you enter about your customers. You must collect and use it lawfully, give customers appropriate privacy information, keep it accurate, respect their rights and enter only information reasonably needed to manage the work. Do not add special-category or highly sensitive information to free-text notes unless it is strictly necessary, lawful and appropriately protected.
You retain your rights in the data you enter. You instruct DB Meridian Ltd to host, copy, transmit and otherwise process it only as needed to provide, secure and support WorkRound and comply with law. Our privacy notice explains the controller and processor roles in more detail.
Data processing terms
For personal information you enter about customers, you are the controller and DB Meridian Ltd is the processor. The processing covers hosting, organising, retrieving, synchronising, backing up, securing and supporting customer and work records for as long as you use WorkRound and during the applicable deletion and backup period. It concerns your customers and other contacts, and the contact, service, scheduling, completion, price, payment-status, notes and custom-field data described in our privacy notice.
DB Meridian Ltd will process that information only on your documented instructions, including these terms and your use of the service, unless UK law requires otherwise; ensure authorised personnel are bound by confidentiality; use appropriate technical and organisational security measures; and reasonably assist you with individual-rights requests, security incidents, impact assessments and regulator enquiries. We will provide information reasonably needed to demonstrate these obligations and allow a proportionate audit on reasonable notice.
You give general authorisation for us to use sub-processors needed to provide WorkRound. We will bind them to equivalent data-protection duties, remain responsible for their work, make the current list available and give reasonable notice of a new sub-processor so you can raise a justified data-protection objection. When the service ends, we will, at your choice, delete or return the personal information and delete remaining copies unless the law requires storage.
Acceptable use
You must not use WorkRound unlawfully; access another business’s data; probe, damage or interfere with the service; introduce malicious code; bypass security or usage controls; copy or resell the service; or use it to store content that infringes another person’s rights.
Access, pricing and changes
WorkRound Plus costs £5.99 per month or £59.99 per year in the UK. Local prices may differ and the price shown by your Apple App Store or Google Play storefront applies. Eligible new subscriptions include a seven-day free trial. Unless cancelled through the store before renewal, the selected monthly or yearly plan begins automatically after the trial and continues to renew at the interval and price shown at purchase. Cancelling stops future renewal but access continues until the current trial or paid period ends. The relevant store handles payment, refunds, renewal and cancellation under its terms.
We may improve or change the service, but will not knowingly make a material change that removes a paid core function without reasonable notice where practicable.
Availability and ending access
We aim to provide a reliable service but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free availability. We may suspend access to maintain or secure WorkRound, comply with law or address a serious breach. When paid or trial access expires, normal work features are unavailable but account, subscription, support and data-rights routes remain available. Existing local records are not deleted merely because a subscription expires. Contact us to request account deletion or a copy of your data.
Our content and third parties
DB Meridian Ltd owns or licenses the WorkRound software, design, branding and website content. These terms give you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the service for your business while your access is valid. Apple, Google and linked third-party services have their own terms; we are not responsible for third-party content or services we do not control.
Our responsibility
Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation. Subject to that, we are not responsible for indirect or consequential loss, lost profit, lost business, lost opportunity or loss caused by inaccurate data, an unsecured device, failure to synchronise pending work or a third-party service outside our control.
Any further limits that apply to a paid subscription will be stated clearly before purchase and will not affect rights that cannot lawfully be excluded.
Law, changes and contact
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales and its courts have jurisdiction, subject to any rights that applicable law gives an individual elsewhere. We may update these terms and will give reasonable notice of material changes to account holders where appropriate. Questions can be sent to [email protected].
